The compressor of choice for all of our premium train horn kits and onboard air systems, the Viair 485C Platinum Air Compressor is one of few compressors available that can give you both a fast-fill and constant duty system. Able to maintain a 100% duty cycle all the way up to 200 PSI and fill a tank up to 5-gallons in size, the Viair 485C Platinum Air Compressor can easily power pneumatic tasks, such as tire inflation, air tools, air suspension, and even powering the biggest and loudest train horn kits we carry. For most constant duty compressors, you have to sacrifice speed for long duty cycles, but with the Viair 485C Platinum Air Compressor, you get the best of both worlds. The Viair 485C Platinum Air Compressor will recharge a 2.5-gallon tank from 165-200 PSI in just 1 minute and 15 seconds and recharge a 5-gallon tank from 165-200 PSI in just under two and a half minutes.

The Viair 485C Platinum Air Compressor will come complete with a remote mountable intake filter assembly, or “Air Snorkel Kit”, allowing the air intake to be moved to use clean air even if the compressors are mounted in the way of debris, moisture, and other air system contaminants. Includes a standard 3/8″ NPT stainless steel braided leader hose with check valve and insulated wiring for fast installation.
